Young women and girls in Crewe are being invited to take part in Active Her Fridays – a series of free, fun, and inclusive fitness sessions designed to help boost confidence, wellbeing, and connection through movement.
Funded by Cheshire Community Foundation and the Police and Crime Commissioner for Cheshire, these sessions are delivered by Her Place Charitable Trust as part of their Inspire Her project.
Active Her sessions are open to:
Young women aged 13–25
Mums, aunties, and carers who want to join in with the young women in their lives (Under 13 to be accompanied)
Participants can attend on their own or come along with friends and family. All abilities are welcome – no previous experience is needed!
What’s on?
Every Friday this summer, Active Her offers a rotating schedule of feel-good fitness, with boxing and alternating sessions of Clubbercise and Zumba.
And every Thursday evening this summer we are hosting our popular self defence classes
Led by qualified female instructors, these sessions will help young women and carers build confidence, learn practical safety skills, and experience the wellbeing benefits of being active all in a supportive and inclusive environment.
The Active Her sessions are made possible thanks to the generous support of Street Games, Cheshire Community Foundation, and the Police and Crime Commissioner for Cheshire. Their funding ensures these sessions remain completely free and accessible, helping to break down barriers to physical activity and support the wellbeing of young women and their families in our community.
All sessions take place at:
St. Mary’s Caritas Centre, 65 Delamere Street, Crewe, CW1 2JX
