We’re thrilled to announce that former Coronation Street star and Strictly Come Dancing winner Ellie Leach has become the patron for the Inspire-Her Project! Ellie’s Strictly journey was the first time she had truly been ‘herself’ on television, and every week her confidence grew in leaps and bounds. Now, Ellie strives to be as open as possible on her social media, encouraging young women to be and have confidence in their authentic selves.

On her new patron role, Ellie said: “I really hope to bring my own experience of low self-confidence to the Patrons role, to show young women they are not alone in the way they are feeling.

“There are so many pressures that come with just being a woman but I believe that every woman should feel empowered and confident in their own skin and that’s why I’m so happy and proud to become a part of the Inspire Project at Her-Place.

“I’m so delighted to have this opportunity to champion the cause and encourage other young women to just ‘go for it’ and not lack of confidence hold them back.”
